1. Bank of England £5 Print Variation (models: 1000, 1006, all 3000 & 4000
series plus 5001)

The Bank of England has advised us that they will be releasing unvarnished £5 notes alongside varnished £5 notes in the future

No other changes have been made to the banknote; the design and substrate have not been changed

We have conducted tests using the unvarnished notes and we have not seen any deterioration in the acceptance levels for all the banknote readers we use in our machines

If you find the general acceptance of banknotes has deteriorated it could be your banknote reader requires a service and re-calibration, please contact our Service & Support Team for advice

We have also tested the unvarnished notes in the banknote dispensers we use in our model 4003 and the notes are dispensed correctly without any adjustment

If you find the dispensing of banknotes has deteriorated it could be your banknote dispenser requires a service and re-calibration, please contact our Service & Support Team for advice

2. wH Munzprufer Emp800 Update (models: 1002, 1008, 1012 & 5001)

wH Munzprufer has introduced the EMP800 V6 with the latest electronics and sensing system.

The V6 has now replaced the EMP800 V5 and from 19.05.08 all machines leaving our factory will be fitted with the new V6 model

The V6 is a direct replacement for the V5 and is totally forward and reverse compatible

If you wish to upgrade your machine to V6 please contact our Service and Support Centre Team
